THE Heathrow/Windsor Marriott hotel has undergone a £5 million overhaul in time for the opening of Heathrow Terminal 5 on March 27.
Marriott upgraded the hotel as part of a £120 million "Nip and Tuck" programme across its 38 UK hotels
Its proximity to Britain`s busiest airport - the hotel is just 10 minutes from the new terminal by Junction 5 of the M4 - meant that Marriott were anxious to have it completed in time for the Terminal 5 opening.
The refurbishment involved creating a new look and feel for its 382 rooms, ballroom and public areas.
The hotel also now features a new lobby, a new Brasserie-style restaurant and Chat’s Caf? Bar.
The hotel’s sales and marketing director Ruth Taylor said: “This investment has made the hotel an ideal international meetings venue for any event requiring a hotel with outstanding facilities, excellent service and good connections.
"We are the perfect choice for any event that has delegates travelling internationally.”
