HILTON Hotels Corporation has announced the locations of its first three Hampton by Hilton budget hotels to open in the UK.
The company, which recently announced an average opening rate of five hotels a week in 2007, is launching the brand with an 86 room site in Colby, Northamptonshire this Winter.
Subsequent plans include a larger 115 room hotel in Derby, and a 125-room property in Leeds over the next couple of years, creating many new jobs for the areas.
The London based company now owns more than 3,000 hotels around the world, and has ambitious growth plans, including Hampton budget sites in Germany and the launch of the Doubletree brand in Italy.
The growth is based on goals of 1,000 new openings in the next decade, including 900 already in the development pipeline.
President and Hilton Chief Executive Christopher Nassetta, has said: "We are focussing on accelerating the growth of our international management and franchise business.
"In the last year, Hilton has secured eight strategic development agreements representing 200 new hotels in international markets.
"These significant developments are indicative of how we want to grow globally. This is the most exciting time in the company`s history and there are tremendous opportunities which we are acting on to accomplish our ambitious plans."
