CROWNE Plaza Hotels and Resorts is preparing to open its second hotel in Manchester this September.

The Crowne Plaza Manchester - in the Northern Quarter - will have 228 guest rooms – including 24 Club rooms and the Plaza Suite - offering all the brand’s usual facilities.

The hotel will also feature nine conference rooms, with the largest accommodating up to 300 delegates in theatre-style seating.

Bob Fairweather, general manager of the Crowne Plaze Manchester City Centre said: “The whole city is within easy reach but the hotel is particularly well located for the MEN Arena, Sport City, the Printworks, Urbis and the numerous professional services companies based on and around Deansgate.

“This will ensure it will appeal to the discerning business traveller and leisure guests alike.”

The building`s unique design features an angular front, and windows made from multi-coloured glass that appears to change colour as the light alters throughout the day.

Mr Fairweather added: “Our new hotel will combine the power and high quality service of the Crowne Plaza brand with the contemporary look and feel of a boutique hotel.”
