AWARD-winning chef Richard Reddaway has joined the Mariner`s Hotel in Lyme Regis as head chef.

Richard moves from The Masons Arms in Branscombe, where his skills earned the pub top spot in The Times` 10 gourmet hotels in the British Isles and The Good Pub Guide`s Devon Dining Pub of the Year.

Richard said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to get back to the basics of providing outstanding, locally sourced and freshly prepared food, including some new signature dishes.
