While relaxing at a beach bar in Leblon, Roberto Nogueira dreamt of producing a world class Brazilian Cachaca that would enoble the national drink and elevate it to superpremium status. Insisting on the very best, Roberto called upon a team of International specialists to lend their expertise to this unique Cachaca rebirth.
With notes of citrus, pear, and honeysuckle, Leblon shook off the low cost, low production peasant reputation of other cachacas by producing a unique flavour and smoothness through its careful harvesting and distillation process.
Just three hours after harvest, only the middle and best part of the sugar cane is pressed before the fresh sweet juice is fermented through a strictly controlled process and then carefully distilled through an alambic distillation process to fully harness the flavour. The Cachaca is then lightly aged in French vintage cognac barrels for one month to form a perfectly blended, fresh and smooth superpremium white spirit.
The collaboration with the renowned Merlet dynasty and the Brazilian Biochemist Rogelio Brandao (dubbed the ‘The Cachaca Professor’) ensures the brand’s success and global appeal is a testament to its heritage.
Leblon is already endorsed by some of the biggest names on the international drinks scene: Junior Merino, bartender at the Modern at MOMA in New York, says: “Traditional Brazilian cachacas tend to have a real bite.
