A NEW, 400-cover super restaurant and bar is set to open in mid-May in London’s Shoreditch.
The venue, called The Stoned Pony, is owned by famous cocktail maestro Salvatore Calabrese’s mixologist son Gerry.
It will include a bar offering more than 200 spirits and 30 cocktails that features fashionably ethical seasonal organic British products.
Architect Yanick Allard is creating an 18th century diorama (mobile theatre) look for the split-level venue, with stuffed animals and foliage in the dTcor.
Renaud Martin, who is currently sous chef at Angelus in Baywater, will step into the head chef position. British classics on the menu include fish and chips, mash, jellied eels and pigs head terrine.
The restaurant will also offer a ‘Stoned Pony Tea Party’, with cocktails served in self-cooling infusion jars, platinum coated tea cups and matching sweet and savoury foods.
