Problems in the world of Gordon Ramsay continue to mount with rumours that his two Michelin starred Petrus restaurant is causing the juggernaut chef problems.
After comments made in the Times last weekend that he needed to focus his efforts of ‘fixing Petrus’, Ramsay has become the most talked about boy in the playground.
On the surface the successful restaurant might not appear to need fixing, but when compared to the national or even international roll-out plans for so many of the other Ramsay products, Petrus seems to be existing in a world of it’s own.
Ramsay revealed he plans to "rectify" the venue after allowing that there are "inconsistencies".
There is speculation now that a refurbishment of the Berkeley Hotel could affect the restaurant, or even cause it to move, though a spokesperson for Petrus denied this.
Talk of a rift between Ramsay and chef-patron Marcus Wareing continues to rumble around the restaurant world, and after the recent closure of Ramsay’s La Noisette, eager eyes are watching to see if the next star to fall will be Petrus.
