THE INSTITUTE of Hospitality has announced the appointment of Philip Stanley MIH as General Manager for Hospitality Assured.
In the newly created position Stanley will join senior management lead the company forwards and maintain the high standards and rigorous assessment process businesses go through to gain the accreditation.
Stanley, who had worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, joins Hospitality Assured via Travelodge, where he was head of sales and business development, and after a year spent developing training courses.
The Institute of Hospitality’s Chief Executive Philippe Rossiter FIH said of the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Philip as the General Manager of Hospitality Assured. He joins the Institute with a rich pedigree in the industry, and this has equipped him perfectly for the role. At a time when the Standard is becoming more and more valued as a business excellence tool, we could not have wished for a better experienced and accomplished person to take it forward to the next stage.”
Stanley said: “I am excited to be part of a project that will help businesses focus on their most valued asset, the customer. My focus will be to raise the profile of, and modify, the Standard to ensure that it continues to be relevant not just for today, but for the future.”
