Sushi chain YO! Sushi is to provide diners with DS consoles while they eat to play cooking game

INNOVATIVE Japanese restaurant chain YO! Sushi provides diners with play-while-you-eat cooking game for Nintendo DS consoles.

Cooking Mama 2 sees players creating recipes and dishes, and allows sushi chefs to wirelessly challenge each other in cutting competitions.

Initially launching Monday 14th April in the Farringdon and Soho outlets and plans are to eventually roll the concept out to the complete portfolio of 30 restaurants over the next few months.

My Ly, marketing manager for YO! Sushi, said: "As well as offering delicious and healthy Japanese inspired dishes, we are always looking to provide something extra for our customers. This is a perfect way in adding value to their dining experience – interactively slicing and dicing alongside our expert sushi chefs."

The consoles, provided by 505 Games, are preloaded with the game is for all ages and boasts immediate "pick up and play" kitchen action - including cooling food down when you blow into the in-built DS microphone.
