A fundraising evening at Paul Heathcote`s Manchester restaurant Grado has raised £10k for Hospitality Action.
The Spanish-themed dinner on June 16 was attended by 100 hoteliers, restaurateurs and suppliers, including Paul Kitching (pictured right with Heathcote) of the former Juniper restaurant in Altrincham and Michael Riemenschneider from The Abbey restaurant in Penzance.
Employees from organisations such as the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Intercontinental Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and business agents, Christie & Co also attended the event sponsored by Allied Irish Bank’s Hotels Sector team.
In all, celebrity chef Paul Heathcote, has helped raised over £75k for the charity by hosting fundraising dinners. The money goes towards helping vulnerable people who are working, or have worked in the hospitality sector, including those with serious illnesses such as cancer or those experiencing poverty, domestic violence or bereavement.
