The Town House Company is changing its name to the Town House Collection to reflect the group’s growth.

The change is being made as the company, which owns four hotels in Edinburgh, celebrates its 18th birthday and anticipates the opening of a fifth hotel in Glasgow.

Founder and Chairman Peter Taylor has also appointed two new directors to the board – Hans Rissmann as Managing Director and Doug Brotherston as Financial Director – to help push forward further development.

Taylor said: “There is no doubt that we have great opportunities ahead and it’s important that the business is structured appropriately. Therefore, I have decided to update our corporate look and feel with the introduction of The Town House Collection brand.”

The fifth hotel – Blythswood Square is due to open next spring. The company’s four Edinburgh hotels are Channings, The Bonham, The Howard and The Edinburgh Residence.
