Healthy fast food concept, Tossed, has announced plans to expand across the capital this year.

The business, which was started by entrepreneur Vincent McKevitt, will be opening sites on London`s Baker Street in August and at the new Westfield shopping centre in White City in October.

An outlet in Harrods102, the Harrods convenience store, will also open next month.

McKevitt opened his first Tossed at Paddington in April 2005 before opening an outlet on St Martin’s Lane in Covent Garden. There is also a concession for staff at Monsoon’s head office.

McKevitt’s idea to serve healthy salads, sandwiches, wraps and soups was inspired by a trip to New York where the salad bar market is well-established. His business also includes a franchise programme and he has been voted a category winner of the Courvoisier The Future 500 network.†
