Chefs that love lashings of olive oil and video gaming can now mix both together with the release of Jamie Oliver’s first cooking game for the Nintendo DS.
What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver features tons of the ‘pukka’ chef’s favourite recipes as he walks players through virtual and real-life cooking situations, from shopping to chopping, dressing the dish and serving up.
He can even offer real-life inspiration at the touch of a button, whether in the supermarket, at BBQ`s or the greengrocers, and players can save their own recipes and shopping lists directly into the game.
“I really want to get as many people as I can cooking simple, tasty food, so I’m really excited about bringing a book’s worth of my recipes to a game for the first time,” said Oliver.
“You can cook my recipes for real at home or in the game’s 3D kitchens, but what’s brilliant is that you can come up with your own recipes then share them with your mates and family over Wi-Fi. Lovely.”
Oliver follows in the footsteps of Gordon Ramsay’s game, Hell’s Kitchen, in which players can discover the pressure of working under the foul-mouthed chef in his virtual kitchen.
What’s Cooking? is expected for release in the UK in time for Christmas.
