Chefs may think a saucepan is all they need to boil perfect pasta, but the folks at Imperial reckon their Pasta Cooker makes better tasting pasta with less hassle.
The Imperial Pasta Cooker gets no prizes for design, but comes in 45 and 61 litre capacities, so chefs can boil up as much pasta as they like. The cooker also boasts an exclusive water wash system, which removes starch from the surface of the water and reduces foaming.
Other additions, which Imperial claim makes for tastier pasta, are the tube design, which recirculates hot water throughout the vessel, and the 16 gauge 317 alloy stainless steel finish which is ‘higher than marine grade’, meaning chefs can add more salt to boil water quickly, without compromising on flavour.
Accessories such as basket racks, taps and automatic basket lifts are also available.
