The Baglioni Hotel in London is launching an afternoon tea menu which combines English and Italian traditions.
The Brunello chocolate afternoon tea mixes the traditional English afternoon tea with the Italian love of stopping mid afternoon for a cup of hot chocolate and sweet pastries.
From next month the hotel at Hyde Park Gate will serve homemade scones with Italian chocolate spread and clotted cream or dark chocolate scones with white chocolate chips with Italian pastries, strawberries dipped in chocolate, chocolate truffles and finger sandwiches.
As well as a range of teas, guests will also be offered hot chocolate and whipped cream to drink. The price of the tea is £28 with the chance of adding a glass of Champagne for £10.
A hotel spokesman said:"With its stunning views looking out over Kensington Gardens, Brunello at The Baglioni Hotel is the ultimate afternoon pit stop to indulge in this wickedly decedent European take on a true British classic."
