Contemporary Japanese restaurant Nozomi has announced Daniel Clark as its new executive chef at its luxury premises in Knightsbridge.
Clark brings with him years of experience with Asian cuisine, after having spent time at Asia de Cuba and Suka at The Sanderson. Launched in 2005, Nozomi offers modern Japanese cuisine in a 1920s themed atmosphere, with signature dishes including Taraba (king) crab salad with white asparagus and black truffle, and seared Wagyu beef salad with lotus root and ginger dressing.
Meanwhile, in the foodservice sector Elior UK has promoted former Marks and Spencer account managing director, Alison Aviss, to the newly created position of director of corporate communications. She will, from September be responsible for a team of six who will work with external PR agency Cohn and Wolfe to deliver support for internal communications and trade PR.
