Chefs geared up for speciality food fair
This year’s Speciality and Fine Food Fair is hyped to be the biggest yet, with over 700 producers and a new dedicated chocolate section

Over 6000 chefs, restaurateurs and foodies are expected to descend upon London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre in September, for the eighth annual Speciality and Fine Food Fair.

This year’s event will exclusively unveil the winners of the Great Taste Awards, the very best in food and drink from across the UK, alongside an already vast range of international speciality meats, cheeses, fine wines and innovative condiments.

Some of the exhibitors appearing at the centre include Jules and Sharpie with their scotch bonnet hot fruit salad jam; Mondo Berry with their Aronia berry and Sea Buckthorn jam; the Amazing Food Company, who will be showcasing their range of vegetarian and wheat and gluten-free marinades and spices; and Flavours of Spain who will present their new range of Spanish seaweeds, already a favourite of Heston Blumenthal.

Visitors can take the opportunity to meet over 700 different suppliers while sampling their specially selected produce, and still fit in a visit to one of the enlightening forums available at this year’s fair. The Small Business Forum is great for independent restaurateurs looking for advice on how to improve their profitability and deal with the ever-changing economic climate, while the Fine Food Forum provides information on how chefs can source quality local food through presentations from some of the UK’s top chefs and industry figures.

Chocolate lovers and pastry-chefs will be able to enjoy the fair’s newest exhibition, the Speciality Chocolate Fair, where they will find dedicated chocolate talks and demonstrations as well as the opportunity to sample some of the finest chocolate in the UK.

Paul MacDonald, Event Director, said: “The Speciality & Fine Food Fair continues to be a ‘must-attend’ event for anyone who sources fine foods. This year there’s even more new products to see and suppliers to meet - including 80 small producers – guaranteeing visitors a fresh, stimulating experience. If you want to know what’s happening in the fine food world, this is the place to be.”

The Speciality and Fine Food Fair runs from September 7-9 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London. To register for a free guest pass, click here.
