Westminster restaurant The Cinnamon Club has announced plans to open a sister site in London in November, with executive chef Vivek Singh at the helm.
Singh, famed recently for creating the hottest curry in the world, will launch the more relaxed and informal Cinnamon Kitchen in Devonshire Square this November, with a menu inspired by the same modern Indian ethos as his Westminster restaurant.
Cinnamon Kitchen will seat up to 110 covers, 40 of which may dine alfresco in the permanently covered courtyard, and features a groundbreaking Indian grill and tandoor bar as a centrepiece to the dining room, from which diners will be able to experience bespoke menus and a live culinary theatre. A separate bar area, Anise, will also launched serving specialist spiced cocktails and tasting and sharing plates such as wheat crisps with yogurt, tamarind and date, and tuna and scallop ceviche with mango and lime.
The main restaurant, which will be open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, will serve an imaginative new menu comprising of Singh’s specially created dishes, such as spice crusted and grilled black leg chicken livers, chargrilled duck with sesame and tamarind glaze, and nile perch with crabmeat and kokum crust.
Singh will oversee operations as Executive Chef of Cinnamon Kitchen, bringing with him Managing Director Rohit Chugh.
