Rigby re-launches hotel portfolio as Eden Hotel Collection
Technology tycoon, Sir Peter Rigby merges his hotels under one company as he re-launches his Chipping Campden hotel, Kings.

IT entrepreneur Sir Peter Rigby has re-launched his portfolio of hotels under the name the Eden Hotel Collection as he takes over the Kings Hotel in Chipping Campden.

The three hotels in the group - Mallory Court in Leamington Spa, Buckland Tout-Saints near Kingsbridge in Devon and the newly opened Kings Hotel in Chipping Campden - will retain their individuality, but benefit from the expertise of a central management group.

Sir Rigby, who is Chairman of the company, said: “Eden Hotel Collection will not operate as a big company, indeed it isn’t, and the strength of our hotels is their individual nature and the care and attention which comes from a personal ownership and a group of highly capable, dedicated professionals who care about their product, service and performance of the business."

Sir Rigby has appointed Mark Chambers, previously General Manager and Director of Mallory Court and Buckland Tout-Saints, as Managing Director of Eden Hotel Collection. Simon Haigh, who has been running the kitchen at Mallory Court for the past six years, becomes Group Executive Chef while Tara Robinson takes on the Group Marketing role and Jim Rose is Group Accountant.

Each hotel will also have its own manager. Sarah Baker is Resident Manager of Mallory Court, Matthew Gibbs is General Manager of Buckland Tout-Saints and Charlotte Rides is House Manager of Kings.

Speaking at the official launch of Kings earlier this month, Chambers said: “Our commitment to service, our individuality and the dedication of our team will hopefully result in the Kings Hotel soon being numbered as one of the Cotswolds’ top establishments.”
