Marcus Wareing to train ARAMARK caterers
Marcus Wareing has teamed up with ARAMARK to train its staff to the standard of his restaurant at the Berkeley

ARAMARK foodservice has enlisted the help of Marcus Wareing and his eponymous restaurant at the Berkeley to train staff in its Business Dining division.

The partnership will see Wareing working closely with both the chefs and service staff of the company’s Business Dining sector, in a bespoke training and development programme using service reviews, training workshops, and one-on-one mentoring and coaching. Staff will also have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience at the two Michelin-starred, Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley.

Wareing said: “This is an exciting partnership with tough and ambitious goals to achieve and I look forward to the challenges ahead. It is a fabulous opportunity to contribute to ARAMARK’s Business Dining offering, recognised by many as the very best in this part of the industry.”

Aimed at enhancing ARAMARK’s service to private dining rooms and client fine dining, the partnership is the result of the work of focus groups held to identify how to improve food and service.

Sue Johnson, Managing Director of Business Dining at ARAMARK, said: “This marks the start of the next exciting chapter for Business Dining. Our relationship with Marcus will focus on developing the culinary expertise of our chefs and we strongly believe this strategic partnership will add value to every element of Business Dining.”

ARAMARK currently employ over 12,500 staff in the UK across a range of sectors. Earlier this year it was presented with the Corporate Responsibility Award and named as the Contract Caterer of the Year at the 2008 Cost Sector Catering awards.
