Silvano Giraldin joins Redleaf Communications as director
The revered former maitre’d of Le Gavroche has joined Redleaf Communications as a Non-Executive Chairman

Silvano Giraldin, the highly acclaimed and legendary former Maitre’d of Le Gavroche has joined the board of Redleaf Communications as a Non Executive Chairman.

Having worked alongside the media and investor relations firm for the past 10 years whilst in his position as Maitre’d of Le Gavroche, Giraldin thought it an unmissable opportunity to join the board of directors to continue the relationship.

He said: “The team at Redleaf feel like part of my business family. The invitation to help guide their future success was one which I just could not resist. Redleaf has a hugely enthusiastic team of young people and the opportunity for me to be involved in mentoring them at an early stage in their careers is something that I value very highly.”

After working front of house at Le Gavroche for almost 40 years, Giraldin is considered the godfather of the ‘Art of the Table’, both by leading industry figures and the hundreds of students he has trained. Giraldin retired from full-time employment in July this year, although he remains on the Management Board of the Academy of Culinary Arts, a director of Le Gavroche, and Senior Consultant to the Albert Roux Consultancy.

Emma Kane, founder and Chief Executive of Redleaf, said: “We are truly delighted and honoured that Silvano has agreed to join the Redleaf team. He’s one of the most accomplished and assured managers of people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His passion for people businesses and the huge skills he has amassed over the last 40 years will be invaluable to us in the continuing development of our team.”

Redleaf Communications currently look after a range of well-respected restaurants, including 1 Lombard Street, Esca, Gourmet Burger Kitcen, The Real Greek and Vivat Bacchus.
