Just six years after the launch of the Rose and Crown in Warwick in 2002, Peach Pub Company have opened their tenth gastropub with a site in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
The Almanack is a modern British gastropub designed as a break-away from the regular run of Peach properties with a strong accent on fresh, natural and seasonal food.
Head chef Sam Cowley, formerly of le Petit Petit Blanc in Oxford, has designed an all day and ? la carte menu of seasonal dishes, as well as a roast of the day and Peach’s signature deli boards.
The modern, bright interior includes a showpiece island bar serving a selection of beers, wines and local ales, which divides the bar area from the eatery. Natural brick and timberwork and 1960s rosewood furniture were chosen to give the pub a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Jeremy Kyanston, manager of The Almanack, said: “In setting up The Almanack we’ve taken everything we’ve learned about running great hospitable pubs over the last six years and applied it to a brand new building. We want guests to feel just as much at home in this new pub as in any of our more traditional ones, so the welcome is warm and the style relaxed.”
Peach Pubs recently won the Best Food Offer award at the 2008 MA Top 100, and named Retail Team of the Year 2008 at the National Customer Service Awards.
