New appointments at Cliveden

Luxury hotel group von Essen has appointed Sue Crowley general manager of Berkshire hotel Cliveden.

Crowley (pictured), who has worked in the industry for the past 30 years, will be responsible for running the hotel and driving the business forward.

Her appointment is announced as chef Chris Horridge prepares for his new role as executive head chef of the hotel`s three restaurants.

Horridge will hand over the reins of the Bath Priory`s restaurants to Michael Caines before joining Cliveden in February.

He said: "I`m thrilled to be joining the Cliveden team and hope to bring a unique style to the hotel and whilst providing guests with a truly memorable dining experience."

Crowley has worked at the Runnymede Hotel &†Spa and Sopwell House and more recently Nutfield Priory Hotel &†Spa where she was general manager.†
