New managers join Relais & Chateaux's Kinnaird Hotel
Husband and wife team Max and Anne Schaeflien join the Kinnaird Hotel in Scotland as food & beverage manager and house manager respectively

Luxury hotel group Relais & Chateaux has appointed management couple Anne and Max Schaeflien as house manager and food & beverage manager respectively of its Scottish property Kinnaird Hotel.

The couple, who trained at the Gasthaus zur Post in Ladbergen,Germany, were chosen for the roles because of their passion for food and wine and their dedication to customer service.

Anne (pictured) said: “Max and I are privileged to be appointed as the management couple at Kinnaird. We work closely as a team and have a great fondness for Scotland having lived here for the past five years.

"We are really looking forward to continuing the Ward family tradition of looking after and developing lasting relationships with our guests as we have done so in previous roles. Our background and personal interest lies in enjoying good food and wine and we hope to bring this enthusiasm to Kinnaird and develop the gourmet offering already available. "

Max’s previous roles include working as a head sommelier at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire and senior sommelier at the Byerley Turk restaurant at Ireland`s K-Club Hotel.

Anne`s most recent roles were as restaurant manager at the former Cosmo restaurant in Edinburgh as well as food and beverage and front of house specialist at Gleneagles.

Kinnaird is an 18th century estate in Perthshire owned by Constance Cluett Ward. It has nine bedrooms and two courtyard cottages set within the 7,000 acre private estate.
