High-end espresso machine removes need for specialist skills
The Verona TCS espresso machine makes coffee-making simple, eliminating the requirement for specialist barista skills

Designed specifically with the high-end coffee shop and restaurants in mind, the Verona TCS professional espresso machine from SanRemo will appeal to the most experienced Barista.

Making an appearance at the UK Barista Championship 2009, the Verona includes a range of technological features designed to help baristas create the perfect cup of coffee.

For starters, the machine can be pre-programmed to turn itself on in the morning, avoiding the downtime waiting for it to warm up. Water is siphoned off from the mains supply for heating through a steam boiler, resulting in a fresher cup of tea or coffee than one fed from the reserve boiler.

SanRemo believe the Verona’s best feature, aside from its sleek style, is the in-built thermostatic temperature control, which guarantees the correct heat for producing coffee every time.

Andrew Tucker, managing director of SanRemo UK, said: “We have also built in an ‘espresso timer’ as a standard feature. Basically this gives bar management and every day coffee staff the ability to identify if the coffee is pouring correctly or too fast or slow. By removing the need for a high level of specialist skill, this will help many businesses raise and manage their coffee standards.”
