Mike Bramley, the managing director of Mitchells & Butlers Pubs and Bars division, is to retire in April

Mitchells & Butlers managing director of the Pubs & Bars division, Mike Bramley, has announced his retirement from the company in April.

Bramley will continue to assist in the operational handover of the Pubs and Bars business to Adam Fowle, current managing director of the Restaurants division, who will takeover upon Bramley’s retirement on 11 April. Bramley will then step down from his position on the Board on 30 April, when he will be 58.

Tim Clarke, chief executive of M&B, said: “I would like to thank Mike Bramley for his outstanding contribution to Mitchells & Butlers over the past 29 years and wish him well in his future retirement. I look forward to continuing to work with Adam Fowle to further develop Mitchells & Butlers` strength in the pub and pub restaurant sector.”

Bramley became a director of the company upon its de-merger from Six Continents PLC in 2003, and was appointed as a non-executive director of Cask Marque Ltd in September 2008.
