Cote Restaurants is continuing with its expansion plans with the purchase of the former Cafe de Paris site in Guildford, making the restaurant the eighth opening for the French bistro chain.
Having secured its sixth site in London earlier this week at Hays Galleria near London Bridge, Cote has now taken a new 20 year lease on the property in Guildford, which had been running as a Parisian cafe for over 25 years.
Nick Weir of Shelley Sandzer, the property agents that saw through the deal on behalf of Cote, said: “Guildford is always hard to find suitable restaurant sites. This particular restaurant has a longstanding history as a French Bistro and I’m sure this will be a roaring success for Cote.”
Cote, launched by Andy Bassadone and Chris Benians, now operate eight French bistros, six of which are situated in London, with a site in Horsham, West Sussex due to open in May.
