Hotel groups Macepark and Hallmark have appointed new general managers at two of their properties with the latter group also employing a new sales and marketing director for the group.
Vivian Slater, formerly director of sales for Golden Tulip in the UK, joins Hallmark as their new director of sales and marketing to help drive the new brand forward.
She will be based at the group’s Manchester hotel, but her role will span the other three hotels in the group – in Derby, Carlisle and Bournemouth.
Hallmark Manchester’s new general manager is Linda Gregory (pictured with Slater) who is promoted from her position as sales manager.
Gregory has been based at the hotel, formerly The Belfry House Hotel, for more than 10 years.
Arnold Schnegg, managing director of Hallmark Hotels, said: “Linda’s promotion to GM was a natural decision bearing in mind her experience at the hotel and her background in sales. She is a very focussed individual and I am confident that she will make the Hallmark Hotel Manchester a huge success.
Macepark Hotels has also appointed Bernard Zechner general manager of Whittlebury Hall, the management training centre, hotel and spa in Towcester, Northamptonshire.
Zechner, who has 17 years experience in the hospitality industry, joins from Guoman Hotel’s Tower Hotel in London.
He said: “Moving forward, I am keen to grow the hotel’s success through some ambitious sales targets and with the help of a dedicated team, I believe Whittlebury Hall will continue to set the standard for customer service.”
