The Isle of Eriska hotel spa and island in Argyll is to open its restaurant for the first time to non-residents, following a £100k redesign and refurbishment.
Owners Beppo and Chay Buchanan-Smith decided to open the 55-cover restaurant to both hotel guests and non-residents after transforming their formal dining room into a more contemporary restaurant.
Using bright colours and textured fabrics inspired by the scenery of the Scottish west coast, the three-AA Rosette Isle of Erika restaurant will continue to serve head chef Robert MacPherson’s regularly changing Scottish menu.
Beppo Buchanan-Smith said: “We have kept the distinct ‘Eriska feel’ our guests have come to love but at the same time added a sumptuous, contemporary touch to the restaurant. The new space really puts the delicious dishes Robert and his team create centre stage and we look forward to welcoming our hotel guests and non-residents alike to enjoy this unique island.”
The restaurant will also make use of the newly created open wine cellar, which will display over 400 bins.
