Le Bouchon Breton appoints frommelier
The Spitalfields restaurant has appointed a frommelier to look after its cheese carts and run public master classes

Le Bouchon Breton​ at Spitalfields market has appointed a ‘frommelier’, to look after the cheese carts at the restaurant famed for its pungent Garlic cheese trolley.

Jean Claude Ali Cherif joins ened by Michel Roux Jr and Ian Stoppani with 30 years experience of working with cheese, including time spent at Le Beaujolais in Covent Garden, and The Bleeding Hart where he sourced and created all of the restaurant’s cheeses.

Cherif will also launch and run a monthly public master class on cheese to be held at the restaurant, where students can learn about regional varieties, how they are made, stored and when they are at their best.
