Marco Pierre White tops line-up for ScotHot 2009

The schedule for next week’s Scottish hospitality show ScotHot (2-4 March) is jam packed this year with a string of high profile competitions and exhibitors set to attract crowds of over 9,000 people.
Kicking off on Monday, the Scottish Culinary Championships will include both the Brakes Student Chef Team Challenge, the Scottish Contract Catering Chef of the Year, the Scottish Banqueting Challenge and the final round of the KNORR Scottish Chef of the Year, in which 10 chefs battle head-to-head for the title.
Also this year is the World Culinary Grand Prix where nine international teams compete to serve a three-course meal to 80 covers each in the Restaurant of Nations, which is open every day of the show.
As well as a hall full of over 250 exhibitors from tableware and catering equipment to technology and clothing, a range of helpful seminars led by some reputable industry names will also feature each day, including a Q&A with Marco Pierre White on the subject of restaurants in the recession.
Visitors can still register for free at www.scothot.co.uk where they will find opening times and a full list of exhibitors and seminar details.
