Green’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar, the St James’s establishment owned by Simon Parker Bowles, is opening a second site in the capital in June.
The £2m project will be situated in the historic 14 Cornhill development in the City of London, the former Lloyds TSB Headquarters, where a £60m refurbishment to turn it into office and retail space was completed last month.
Green’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar 14 Cornhill will be divided into two main areas, the original Banking Hall on the ground floor and a mezzanine restaurant which will offer views over The Bank of England, Cornhill and The Royal Exchange. The Banking Hall will have a seafood and crustacean display and an all-day fast serve grazing menu while the mezzanine restaurant will be open for fine dining for lunch and dinner.
The venue will also feature two private rooms, for 10 and 20 diners, as well as a whisky room and a Champagne anteroom for tastings. The menu will feature seasonal game dishes as well as Green’s signature dish Haddock Parker Bowles.
Parker Bowles has joined forces with Lord Daresbury, former Chairman of the De Vere hotel group and, Lord Vestey, to fund the new opening.
