Kinloch House chef crowned Scottish Chef of the Year
Andrew May, executive chef at Kinloch House Hotel in Perthshire is crowned Knorr Scottish Chef of the Year 2009 at this years ScotHot

Andrew May, executive chef at Kinloch House Hotel in Perthshire has been crowned Knorr Scottish Chef of the Year 2009.

May won the title and £1,500 after impressing judges at the final at trade show ScotHot in Glasgow on Wednesday.

Simon Marshall managing director of Unilever Foodsolutions said: “It is so exciting to see new talent like Andrew come through the competition every year. He is an extremely deserving winner and created an outstanding menu in the final. I am delighted to congratulate Andrew on his win, on behalf of KNORR and Unilever Foodsolutions”.

Ten finalists were given the task of creating a four course meal for four people using a mystery basked of seasonal Scottish produce.

They were also given advice and encouragement from chef Marco Pierre White before the competition.

Trevor Williams - Burts Hotel
