Hotels owned by the Real Hotel Company, which went into administration in January, are put on the market

Six hotels owned by the former Real Hotel Company, which went into administration in January, have been put on the market.

The hotels, situated in the Midlands and the North, are a mixture of freehold and leasehold and are being sold off through Christie & Co.

Two of the hotels - the 59-bedroom Stop Inn Hull in Yorkshire and the 55-bedroom Stop Inn Skelmersdale in Lancashire - are no longer trading. The freeholds for these properties, along with the 54-bedroom Stop Inn Redditch in Worcestershire are for sale.

The other three properties are available on a new lease or under management contract. These are the 90-bedroom Stop Inn, near Darlington, North Yorkshire; the 94-bedroom Quality Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire; and the 154-bedroom Quality Hotel in Walsall.

The combined freehold value of the six properties, which are being sold unencumbered free of their current brands, totals in excess of £20 million.

Jeremy Jones, Director at Christie & Co said there had already been a number of enquiries `from a variety of interested parties`.
