The London School of Accountancy has teamed up with BigHospitality and Restaurant magazine to offer free accountancy training and software to 12 readers

The London School of Accountancy is offering London based restaurants, catering and retail businesses free accountancy training worth £500.

BigHospitality and Restaurant magazine readers who contact the financial IT training provider in Ealing, west London, will be given the chance to take a three-day computerised accountancy training course to help them with book-keeping and complete quarterly VAT returns.

The first 12 readers to complete the training will also be given Sage software.

Raj Grover, managing director of LSA, said: "The training is delivered by qualified chartered accountants and leads to a City & Guilds accredited qualification. No prior knowledge of accountancy is required to undertake the training which is available to any number of staff of a catering or retail business."

Businesses must employ less than 250 people and be based in one of the following nine London boroughs to be eligible: Brent, Camden, City of London, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth or Westminster.
