Located on the former site of Guisto in Marylebone, the 107-cover restaurant has been restyled by La Petite Maison designer David D’Almada during its closure in April. It has now been refurbished with reclaimed red brick walls, terracotta floor tiles and dark-stained oak tables, which are lined with charcoal-grey leather banquette seating.
Meanwhile, a dramatic black chandelier descends from above the main dining room, where the walls are decorated with vintage Italian artwork and a large, stylised version of the country’s flag.
The menu, devised by head chef Mario Zacchi features traditional Italian dishes such as Deep-fried Squid and Zucchini with Spicy Tomato Dip and Grilled Whole Sea Bass alongside the familiar pizzas and pastas.
Lena chef Walter Benenati, and Princi and St. Alban’s former pastry chef, Diana Rinaldo, join Zachhi in the kitchen, which will be open from Monday to Saturday.
