Simon Hulstone to cook Bocuse d'Or feast for Princess Anne

The Elephant Restaurant chef/proprietor Simon Hulstone will recreate the dishes he entered into this year`s Bocuse d`Or competition at a special luncheon in London next week with Her Royal Highness Princess Anne and a list of top chefs expected to attend.
The chef, winner of the 2008 Knorr National Chef of the Year title, will cook a three-course lunch for the event hosted by Quality Meat Scotland at The Butcher`s Hall in London on Monday.
Princess Anne will attend in her capacity as president of the Scotch Beef Club, set up for restaurants who promote Scottish-reared beef on their menus.
Hulstone said: “Not every chef gets the chance to cook for royalty so I’m delighted to be given the honour. Along with Her Royal Highness, we will also be cooking for an impressive list of chefs, so it will be an unforgettable experience for myself and my team.”
Last week Hulstone picked up the British Culinary Federation`s Louis Sauveur Cipolla award – the highest accolade for a chef of any level within the federation.
He said: “The last 12 months have been really rewarding in that my hard work and determination have been recognised. Winning the Louis Savour Cipolla is personally satisfying since my father is the only chef to have won the award twice in two consecutive years."
