Leon expands outside of London
Healthy, fast-food restaurant chain Leon today opens it’s first site outside of London, at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent

Fast-food restaurant chain Leon today opens its first site outside of London at Bluewater shopping centre, in a bid to take the brand nationwide.

While the company’s ninth restaurant will be situated in the centre’s Wintergarden dining area, close to competitive fast food outlets KFC and McDonalds, founders Henry Dimbleby and John Vincent hope the healthy and fresh aspect to Leon’s food will appeal to the Bluewater shoppers.

Dimbleby said: “We are trying to revolutionise fast food by proving that it can taste great and be good for you. So for us it’s a significant milestone to be opening out of London, close to the big fast food players. We hope it will prove that we can be the new mainstream, offering the best food to the most people. ”

As in its London restaurants, Leon will serve seasonally changing breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, both to eat-in and take-away.
