BigHospitality finds the offers, promotions and other special events running at hotels and restaurants around the country.

Japanese picnic

YO! Sushi​ has produced a range of picnic boxes for the summer season in anticipation of the growing demand for food to eat outdoors. The YO! Picnic Veggie Box costs £5 and includes sushi, salad and fresh fruit (the Fish Box is £6). The Japanese restaurant chain has also created a guide of the top 10 recommended parks in London for picnics that it is giving away in stores and has produced 2,000 promotional frisbees to give to customers buying the picnic box.

Half price food

Renaissance Pubs` Kennington pub The White Hart​ is giving a 50 per cent discount on food to anyone booking a table online until July 31. The discount only applies when two people order a minimum of two courses each.

Premier offers

Budget hotel chain Premier Inn​ has started its first summer sale with room rates starting at £29 per night. The company is making 250,000 rooms available at the discounted rate for customers booking 21 days ahead up until September 6. †The company said the sale was designed to meet the needs of customers who wanted to book in advance to secure the best deals during the summer holidays.

Double points

Choice Hotels​ is giving guests the chance to double the number of privilege points they earn when staying at its properties in Europe up until November 19. The company usually awards privilege members 10 points per US Dollar spent at certain hotels and 5 points at others, but will raise that to 20 and 10 respectively. Points can be redeemed for free stays at its hotels or with a number of airlines for free flights, or with car hire partners.
