Event incentives at the Landmark and long lunches at Cliveden
BigHospitality rounds up the offers, promotions and other special events running at restaurants and hotels around the country.
Sizzling events
The Landmark London is giving incentives to event planners who book events at the Marylebone hotel during the less busy summer months. The hotel will give either a complimentary 30 minute drinks reception for dinner events; complimentary internet access in the main meeting room or a complimentary overnight stay for two to anyone organising an event there until September 30 as part of its Summer Sizzler event promotion.
Get your five a day
Thai fine dining restaurant Mango Tree is aiming to appeal to diners who struggle to get their five a day with its Salad & Fruit Festival menu. Executive chef Mark Read has created a three-course menu with all sweet and savoury dishes containing fruit or salad to provide a healthy option for diners and help make meeting the five a day recommendation less of a chore. The menu will be available until July 19 and includes dishes such as wok fried tiger prawns with sour mango and pometo salad and stir-fried corn-fed chicken strawberry and pineapple coated in red wine tomato sauce garnished with cashew nuts.
Take a long lunch
Von Essen`s Cliveden Estate is making the most of its proximity to the RIver Thames to offer guests a special lunch package. The Luxury Long Lunch Experience costs £95 and gives guests a welcome glass of Champagne or Pimms on arrival, a two-course lunch with wine in the hotel`s Terrace Dining Room and a private one hour boat cruise on the River Thames with cheese and wine served during the trip. Those wanting to go for the Ultimate £195 package are given a three course lunch served by a private butler at Spring Cottage in the grounds of Cliveden, a one hour boat cruise and then afternoon tea at the cottage. Parties of eight or more are given a discount of £20 per person.
