Antony Worrall Thompson’s Notting Grill restaurant, which went into administration earlier this year, has been transformed into a cocktail lounge, bar and restaurant by Mikee Fletcher, co-owner of the Ruby Group.

Now named The Clarendon, the space previously occupied by AWT’s restaurant includes a 150-cover ground floor restaurant serving a seasonally changing Mediterranean menu by head chef James O’Sullivan, a private dining room, a 50-cover bar and a 50-cover roof terrace.

Both the space and menu have been designed to encourage guests to wile away an afternoon at the premises, with a large selection of fresh meat and fish dishes, sharing platters of cold meats and cheeses, salads and summer brunches.

The Notting Grill opened in 2001, but closed in February this year after AWT was forced into administration.
