Grand Union continue with London expansion

The Grand Union Group (GU Group) is to open its tenth pub in Camberwell Grove next month, as part of the company’s rapid expansion plans.
Having launched four sites in Brixton, Kennington, Stoke Hammond and Ravenscourt Park already this year, and with the acquisition of a property in Kilburn, which is due to open in December following an extensive refurbishment, the GU Group are on target to complete their goal of opening 12 sites by Q1 2010.
Adam Marshall, managing director of the GU Group, said the Camberwell Grove site had been developed in partnership with Young’s.
“We are delighted to be taking over the beautiful Grove Pub in Camberwell Green,” he said. “We believe our unique design and menu will blend perfectly in this up-and-coming area of South-East London.”
The Group are currently looking for several development opportunities in the Greater London area, with plans to expand the group nationally by 2012.
