Milk Link, the UK’s largest provider of cheese entirely owned by British farmers, has launched a new foodservice division, supplying caterers with a wide range of dairy products.

The product range, which includes a variety of cheeses from Bladen, Taw Valley, Tickler, Cadog and Lockerbie, has been developed to suit the catering needs of small to large restaurants and pubs, while supporting British farmers.

Craig Dillon, Milk Link’s head of foodservice, said that by processing farmers’ milk through their own creameries, they could provide a sustainable future for their farms, while simultaneously offering ‘something for everyone’.

“Larger pub and restaurant groups demand great-tasting, consistent cheese that cooks and presents well – and our Bladen range does just that,” he said. “At the same time, caterers are also looking for ‘provenance’ brands that add value to their menus, such as Taw Valley or Tickler cheddars. Whether it’s individual end-users, wholesalers or pub groups, we’re able to deliver a truly personal service, adapting our product range and capabilities to suit our customers’ needs.”

Milk Link has also announced the planned launch of Bladen Lighter for early 2010, a product developed at the group’s new Innovation Centre at the Taw Valley Creamery in Devon.
