Byron, the casual hamburger restaurant operated by Gondola Holdings, has acquired its seventh site to open in Soho next month.

The 1,141sq ft ground floor on the former Intrepid Fox pub on Wardour Street will become Byron’s first restaurant in the West End, serving the chain’s renowned freshly ground, Scottish-reared beef burgers.

Nick Weir of propert consutancy Shelly Sandzer, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Byron, said: “Following the recent openings of Princi and Cote, this part of Wardour Street has established itself as the heart of the eating and meeting area in Soho and Byron will only compliment these extremely popular units.”

The Wardour Street restaurant will join Byron’s four existing London sites in Kensington, Gloucester Road, Kings Road and the Westfield Shopping Centre. The group also has sites in Kingston and Guildford.
