Today is the last chance for hospitality workers to get involved in The Restaurant Show 2009, as three days of chef demonstrations, live interviews and competitions come to an end.
Following the Compass Chef of the Year and Gastropub Challenge on Monday and Tuesday, the Indian Restaurant Challenge will today see four chef/waiter teams battle it out in the Competition Theatre as they cook a two-course dinner, using ingredients from a mystery basket, for the judges.
Continuing the Indian theme, Humayan Hussain from Tandoori Magazine will be in the Business Briefing Theatre discussing why Indian food consists of more than just curry.
Demonstrating their chef skills today on the Centre Stage will be Philip Howard from the Square, Michael Wignall from The Latymer, Vineet Bhatia from Rasoi, Andrew Turner from The Landau and Adam Byatt from Trinity.
Richard Hughes of Lavender House will be leading a team of students from Westminster Kingsway College in the shows onsite Signature restaurant today, following in the steps of Cyrus Todiwala and Giorgio Locatelli.
If you can’t make it down to the show then don’t worry, we’ll be posting all the news right here on BigHospitality.
