Soho House Group has added another restaurant to its growing empire with the opening of a pizzeria in the Tea Building on Shoreditch High Street in London.
Pizza East, which opened its doors last Friday, is situated on the ground floor of the former Lipton Tea warehouse in London's East End, the location of the group's latest private members' club Shoreditch House.
The 170-cover restaurant, overseen by general manager Kelly Taylor, is described as a 'modern take on the pizzeria' with a focus on using seasonal and local produce.
Head chef Bernie Plaisted has created a 10-inch pizza menu, with toppings ranging from the traditional Margherita to the more elaborate Duck Sausage with Shaved Artichokes, Boschetto al Tartufo and Parmesan. The menu also includes baked, fried and oven-baked dishes.
A bar and takeaway counter where merchandise such as sauces, oils, napkins, T-shirts and bags, can also be bought are also located within the restaurant.
