Lahloo Tea has teamed up with chocolatier Damien Allsop to create a new range of teas and infused chocolates.
The bespoke collection includes Lapsang and Green Jasmine teas which match with Allsop’s new chocolate range that is infused with peppermint, thyme and basil.
Allsop, who supplies Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck and Angela Hartnett’s Murano, has created the chocolates without using butter or cream for a dairy free product that is low in saturated fat.
Kate Gover, owner of Lahloo Teas, said: “His chocolates have an intense flavour without being over-rich and compliment my teas perfectly, plus you get all the health benefits of chocolate without the saturated fat-laden content.”
Gover launched Lahloo Teas in 2008 from her kitchen table using leaves selected from sustainable tea gardens.
Allsop said: “We tasted each other’s products and knew we had to put them together. We knew our technique would be great with tea – we just had to find the right tea, and then I met Kate.”
