Highland Park is launching 1964 and 1968 limited editions of its single malt whisky, and has announced plans to release ten exclusive Vintage limited editions over the next five years

Launched from Highland Park’s Orcadian Vintage Series, the ‘64 and ‘68 editions are presented in eye-catching bell-bottomed black glass bottles with flashes of celtic silverwork.

The ’64 edition, the oldest of the Vintage Series, has been created from only two hogshead oak casks chosen specifically by Highland Park’s whisky maker Max McFarlane, and as such only 290 bottles have been released. The liquid combines the flavours of toasted oak, dried strawberries, shellac and beeswax.

The ’68 edition, 1550 bottles of which have been produced, has been formed from eight carefully chosen refill casks, and has a full-bodied flavour with hints of honey and lemongrass.

Highland Park will continue to release further limited edition vintages over the next five years, all hand-selected by McFarlane, in response to a growing consumer demand for exclusive bottlings.
