Dorset's Purbeck Vineyard, a four-acre vineyard overlooked by a boutique hotel and restaurant, is being sold off for £1.25m.

Owners Theresa and Robert Steel, who have refurbished the nine-bedroom hotel since taking it over in 2006, are said to be selling 'reluctantly' to focus on other business commitments.

The estate, near Corfe Castle, includes a 25-cover restaurant with a 30-cover al fresco dining area, a residents' bar and lounge.

Established in 2000, the vineyard has more than 3,000 vines which grow Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and traditional English varieties such as Regent, Rondo and Phoenix. Bottles of wine produced there are sold at the estate and in local shops.

Andrew Theobold, of Knight Frank's hotels team, handling the sale, said: "The sale of this immaculately presented business offers the perfect lifestyle opportunity for someone wanting to enjoy a wonderful way of life in a great location.”
