Steve Perez, chairman of drinks company Global Brands, and his brother Sebastian are to open a £20m hotel called Casa in Chesterfield, Derbyshire this autumn.

The 100-bedroom Spanish-themed hotel, is the first hotel to open under the brothers' company Bradbury Hall Developments. Its opening will create 500 jobs.

Bradbury Hall Developments, run by managing director Sebastian, already operate the town's serviced apartments The Maltings and when Casa opens the company will become operator of the town's only four-star hotel.

The hotel will include a 100-cover tapas restaurant, gym, events space and offices that will become Global Brands' new headquarters.

Its 96 deluxe rooms will feature Hypnos beds, rainfall showers and 32" flat screen TVs while four suites will have four-poster beds and balcony hot tubs.

Steve Perez, chairman of Bradbury Hall Developments, founded Global Brands, the manufacturer and distributor of several spirits-based drinks brands such as VK and Corky's, in 1997.

He said: "This is such a significant development for Chesterfield and the wider Derbyshire region as Casa will provide a new multi-purpose venue for corporate, conference and the leisure market, bringing visitors in from around the country.

"Casa will be a fantastic hotel for dinners, meetings and conferences but it will also create over 500 jobs offering a major boost to the local economy.”
